How did this affect me?
Here are some of the things that people said after they went on a mission trip:
Annelise WeinmannWhile I was on the mission trip to Puerto Rico, I was able to do a lot of cool stuff that changed my perspective. While on the actual mission portion of the trip, I went to kids' clubs, where I was able to interact with the kids and help the learn about God and stuff. The most meaningful thing that I got out of this is how easy it is to communicate with these kids, even though they speak a different language. Just by sharing God's love through a smile can make an impact, and I think this experience has made me a lot less judgmental and more friendly around people I don't know well. |
Megan HerndonGoing to Puerto Rico was extremely influential in my life. I experienced so many new things, cultures, climates, people and I also experienced a new way of looking at life! Seeing children being happy with the little that they had made me very thankful for all of the blessings that I have and made me want to travel and spread Gods word more. |
Alex ReadPuerto Rico was really the faith trip of a lifetime. It was amazing to see the number of lives we touched in our outreach, and I grew so much because of the trip! Helping people out at our work sites was my favorite part, because those we helped were so grateful. We all knew we had done something for the kindom of God, and it really felt good for us to help the community, especially when we could extend our hand all the way out to the island of Puerto Rico. |
