• Lutherhaven News

• Bonfires at Lutherhaven have been awesome this year... but they would be even better with you there! Uth Grup Bonfires at Lutherhaven contnue until Aug. 27. Every Wednesday we will gather at the lake to continue splashing in the waters of our baptism, learning, growing, singing, asking questions, eating, and playing games. You can hitch a ride in the church van or come on your own. Dinner will start at 6 pm -- burgers and dogs will be provided, please bring a side dish, desserr, or beverage to share. See you there!

• Worship at Fredericksen Wilderness Park

• This Aug. 10th, at 11:00 pm, we are having a worship service at Fredericksen Wilderness Park. A "BYO (Bring Your Own) Picnic" will be held following worship. Those who worship at the regular times, 8am, 9am, & 11am at the church are invited to come and join us at the park for the picnic. Benches are available for seating, but you can also bring your own folding chairs or blankets. Maps will be available in the narthex and Christian Center. (We will try to get a copy online soon!) Please come join us for amorning of worship in the woods.

  There will be a work party at the FWP on Saturday, August 2nd starting at 10am to clean up the grounds for worship. Bring your gloves, grubbies, rakes, weed-destroyers, etc. and a sack lunch. Please join us at the park when you can and work for an hour or two, then take a hike in the wilderness and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

  We are looking for new ways to use, promote, and protect the wonderful gift and resource we have in the FWP. Disc Golf (DG) is a sport which is growing in popularity in our County and may be a great way to expose people to the wilderness in new ways while preserving the natural setting of the park. We have been talking with the West Sound Disc Golf Association about possible course designs and the benefits of DG to the community and the property. If you would like to help in these efforts please contact Paul Davis at the church or send me an email.

• David Harsh

• David Harsh will be playing at Vinland Lutheran Church, August 31. He will lead worship in the morning and will perform that evening. More information will be coming soon.

• Jars of Clay

• Tickets have gone on sale for the Jars of Clay concert this August. Anyone interested in attending with us should contact the church.
